Chennai 13th<\/sup>\u00a0May 2018:<\/strong>\u00a0The 5th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of Forum Vijaya Mall \u2018Junior Master Chef<\/strong>\u2019 event held on the 13th May 2018. We were thrilled to see the crowd that had gathered to witness the little culinary masters in action.<\/p>\n

In total 280 participants were registered out of which top 8 kids from each category were selected for the final. The event chief guest, renowned\u00a0celebrity chef Damodaran<\/strong>\u00a0fondly known as Chef Damu, had graced the occasion and engaged with the kids and audience, assessing their dishes and critiquing.<\/p>\n

The competition had two categories open to both boys and girls. The first category was for kids aged between\u00a07-10 years<\/strong>. The second category was for children between\u00a011-15 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The competition was conducted in two stages where the preliminary round was held on\u00a05th<\/sup><\/strong>May\u00a0<\/strong>2018 followed by the grand finale on\u00a013th<\/sup>\u00a0May<\/strong>\u00a02018.<\/p>\n

The children were an effervescent bunch of young chefs who took to the kitchen and prepared a variety of dishes within the allotted time.<\/p>\n

Celebrity Chef DR Damu<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Umesh Iyer,<\/strong>\u00a0GM Forum Vijaya Mall<\/strong>\u00a0award the coveted title of Forum\u2019s Junior Chef Champ with gift hampers and cash prizes bagged by the winners, runner ups and participants.<\/p>\n

The first place in\u00a0Category 1\u00a0<\/strong>went to Manisha followed by Bhoomika who was the runner up. In the\u00a0Category 2<\/strong>, the first place went to Surya Vinoth and the runner up is Tharani. They were felicitated by Chef Damu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
