Smash it again with a ladle and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In a kadai, add a spoon of ghee and dry roast the ingredients under `to roast and grind` one by one and finally add a small piece of coconut to it. Grind it to a semi fine powder and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Again, add oil in a kadai and add pepper and cumin seeds for tempering.<\/li>\n<li>Then add the chopped onion, tomatoes and saut\u00e9 for about 2 minutes till tomato shrinks and raw smell leaves<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1143\" alt=\"receip3\" src=\"http:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip3-300x150.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip3-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip3.jpg 442w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Add water at this stage and add turmeric powder, sambar powder and salt and allow it to boil for some time. (Use sambar powder a small quantity, as we have pepper and red chillies in the grinded paste)<\/li>\n<li>Then transfer this to the cooked dal and allow it to boil for 5 more minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Soak tamarind in warm water, discard the seeds and add this to sambar,<\/li>\n<li>Once the raw tamarind smell is set aside, add the grinded powder. Mix it well without any crumbs. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1144\" alt=\"receip4\" src=\"http:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip4-300x150.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip4-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/receip4.jpg 442w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0Then add 1 or 2 spoons of grated jaggery. Allow the sambar to boil and thicken. Once it is boiled and reaches the desired consistency, add coriander leaves.<\/p>\n<p>6. This Idli Sambar Hotel Style \/ Tiffin Sambar is perfect with idlis and dosas.
