Chennai, August 27, 2018<\/u>: <\/strong>HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company, India\u2019s leading non-life insurer, launched the 3rd<\/sup> season of their Insurance Awareness Award Quiz today with the first Semi-Final round in Chennai. The team from Bethel MHS \u00a0<\/strong>School won the Semi Final round in Chennai city, competing against 32 \u00a0schools from <\/strong>Chennai. The winning team from Chennai will compete against 8 school teams from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune<\/strong> and Ranchi<\/strong> in the Grand Finale to be held in Mumbai on 27th<\/sup> September 2018.
\nLast year, Padma SeshadriBalaBhavan School <\/strong>from Chennai won the HDFC ERGO Insurance Awareness Award Junior \u2013 2017, which was held in Mumbai last year.
\nAs a part of the insurance awareness drive and a prelude to the quiz, HDFC ERGO representatives conducted town halls in schools to impart basic knowledge on insurance, thereby helping students understand insurance as a life skillset. With this drive, HDFC ERGO reached out to more than 6,200 students<\/strong> of class 8th<\/sup> and 9th <\/sup>in Chennai, covering many leading schools like St. Joseph Anglo Higher Secondary School, Little Flower, Krishnaswamy Senior Secondary School, BharathaVidayala Mat Higher Secondary School& many more.
\nTalking about the Chennai City Semi-Final Round of the HDFC ERGO Insurance Awareness Award Junior – Quiz, Mr. MehmoodMansoori, Member of Executive Management & Group Head, HDFC ERGO General Insurance<\/strong> said, \u201cThe HDFC ERGO Insurance Awareness Award Junior \u2013 Quiz, is a drive to impart the insurance knowledge to the Generation Z, by making it fun in the form of quiz. In this 3rd<\/sup> season, we aim to reach out to more than 50,000 students across the 9 cities in the country. We are overwhelmed to witness the participation and preparation of the students in the first Semi-Final Round held in <\/em>Chennai.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
