The Cake Mixing Ceremony is believed to have originated in the 17th century; it was practiced in traditional Christian households, indicating the arrival of the harvest season. During this time fruits and nuts are harvested and prepared to be a part of the traditional Christmas Plum Cake. A part of the mix was carried over in the hope that following year would also bring forth an abundant harvest.<\/p>\n

Cake mixing however, is poles apart from cake baking which happens much after cake mixing is done. It is a kind of pickling process during which the mixed ingredients are allowed to marinate in the juices and beverages for around 40 days before baking can begin.<\/p>\n

Ms. Dhivya Dharshini <\/strong>& the guests were provided with chef caps, aprons and gloves. Mixing all the ingredients by hand was truly an enjoyable and unforgettable experience for all. It marked an eventful kick-start to the joyous festivities of the Christmas season.<\/p>\n
