For the second consecutive quarter, the Production and Manufacturing sector saw the highest Y-o-Y growth at 65%; and 18 percent on Q-o-Q basis in Q3 2018. The Retail sector registered the second highest growth in online hiring with 14 percent Q-o-Q; and 42 percent y-o-y growth in Q3 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commenting on the Monster Employment Index trends of the quarter, Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO, Monster.com- APAC &amp; Gulf said, <\/strong><em>\u201cThe consistently high online hiring activity in the Production and Manufacturing sector <\/em><em>could be a result of the sustained impetus in domestic and export growth orders which has given a big push to the sector, and encouraged firms to raise their staffing levels.On the other hand, the festive season seemed to have boosted the hiring demand in the retail sector as it jumped two places in the Monster Employment Index for Q3 2018. The sector would have hired more staff to cater to the increased consumer activity during this period. <\/em><em>While there wasdem and for roles at the junior level in delivery and customer relations, there wasalso demand at the mid-management level in finance, operations, and digital marketing.\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Home Appliances (up 22 percent y-o-y)<\/strong>and the <strong>Banking, Financial Services &amp; Insurance (up 13 percent y-o-y)<\/strong>also remained active sectors despite moderation in pace.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Healthcare (up 20 percent y-o-y), HR &amp; Admin (up 19 percent y-o-y) and Finance &amp; Account (up 17 percent y-o-y)<\/strong> remained the most sought-after job roles in Q3 2018.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>City-wise,<strong>Chandigarh(up 17 percent y-o-y), Jaipur (up 6% y-o-y) and Coimbatore (up 2 percent y-o-y) <\/strong>were the only cities to register positive growth in Q3 2018 vs 2017, however, online hiring declined in all the three cities as compared to previous quarter.
