Chennai, 19th February 2019: adidas Running unveiled the adidas Ultraboost 19, an entirely reimagined and redesigned version of the brand\u2019s iconic leading performance running shoe.<\/p>\n

adidas designers and product developers worked with thousands of runners from around the world to create the new silhouette, in what was its most ambitious collaboration project ever.<\/p>\n

The overwhelming feedback from runners was that running is changing, becoming younger and more democratic. With the emergence of city running clubs and fun runs, running is now a sociable sport rather than just something people do on their own.<\/p>\n

Runners made it clear they wanted a simpler product with fewer pieces but equally high performance. To reflect that, the original adidas Ultraboost was deconstructed and reconstructed from 17 pieces to focus on four key components \u2013 Optimized BOOST, Torsion Spring, Primeknit 360 and 3D Heel Frame.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Optimized BOOST \u2013 with 20% more BOOST in the midsole compared to the first-generation adidas Ultraboost, this updated technology brings even more energy return
\n\u2022 Torsion Spring \u2013 a lightweight construction for enhanced support on landing and asnappy transition to propel runners forward
\n\u2022 Primeknit 360 \u2013 feels like a second skin, combining pure comfort with lightweightperformance
\n\u2022 Updated 3D Heel Frame \u2013 a stripped-back design cradles the heel, bringing theperfect mix of adaptability and support
\nSam Handy, Vice President Design, adidas Running, said: \u201cIn creating the adidasUltraboost 19, we tore up the rule book. We challenged the status quo of what a running shoe should be and how it should be created. We enlisted runners from all over our network to be a part of this process, with one goal in mind \u2013 to create the most responsive, performance-driven version of the adidas Ultraboost possible. On this journey, we literally tore apart the old model and discovered new testing, manufacturing and coloring methods to really challenge ourselves to reach our ambition.\u201d<\/p>\n

To celebrate the new silhouette, adidas Running is launching a new marketing campaign called Recode Running. The blockbuster campaign champions the culture and creativity of \u2018newrunning\u2019 and its power to transform.<\/p>\n

The adidas Ultraboost 19 will launch in Core Brown colorway in India on February 21, 2019 followed by 8 dynamic colorways in March 2019 across select retail stores in the country. The shoe for men is priced at Rs. 16,999 and for women at Rs. 15,999.<\/p>\n
