Chennai,\u00a0February 24th<\/sup>, 2019:<\/strong>\u00a0Table Tennis Super League \u2013 Tamil Nadu (TTSL-TN)<\/strong>\u00a0organized by Indusports Leagues India LLP. under the auspices of TNTTA VR CHENNAI, Annanagar from\u00a0February 22nd to 24th, 2019.\u00a0Mighty Warriors\u00a0<\/strong>beat LA Black Thunders\u00a0(5-4)<\/strong>\u00a0and became the champions of the second season of Table Tennis Super League \u2013 Tamil Nadu on Sunday. The winners received one lakh cash prize from the\u00a0National Table Tennis Champion & Arjuna Awardee, Padma Shree, Sarath Kamal\u00a0<\/strong>along with the organisers\u00a0Mr. Sameer Bharath\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Mr. Madhan, Directors of Indusports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taraka Avengers is owned by Mr. Velan (Shree Velu Builders Private Ltd), AA Blasters is owned by Dr Rajesh Jagannath (Billroth Hospitals), Time Link – Mobie Chargers is owned by Mr. Shivakumar (Prabha TVS), Hindustan King Pongs is owned by Hindusthan University, Green Rockers is owned by Mr Chandramouli, Mighty Warriors is owned by Mrs Manjula Baskar and Mrs. Virgina, La Black Thunders is owned by Mr Vincent Adaikalaraj and Ramco HiLux is owned by the RAMCO group of companies. These are the eight teams competed with each.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Occasion\u00a0Sameer Bharat Ram, Director Indusports said<\/strong>\u201d Tamil Nadu\u2019s top table tennis players\u00a0will showcase their skills and talent while representing their respective franchise-based teams during the 3-day event. This is the second edition of the TTSL\u00a0 and the matches will certainly be very competitive and exciting\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful see sporting league picking momentum and attraction in Chennai. Chennai is a great sporting town, the fans are more supportive and they will support Table tennis sport too.\u00a0 Chennai which has produced some of the classy players in the past and present is set to improve the game at all levels. This league will help players to develop their skills and show their talent.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0A total of 8 teams will be participating in the TTSL 2019and the team formation and selection of players was done by a \u2018Players Auction\u2019 which was conducted in the presence of the technical committee and the organizing committee of TNTTA 2019.\u00a048 players, divided into 6 categories on the basis of their age categories i.e Men, Women, Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Cadet Boys and Veterans went under the hammer at the auction. The best among the 48 players were picked by the owners of the eight franchisees that will feature in the Table Tennis Super League. Each team consisted of 9 matches and all the 9 matches have to be played at the group stage as each match won has points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
