The entire batch of 120 students of the 2017-2019 MBA batch of the MEASI\u00a0Institute of Management (MIM) were a very happy lot last Saturday, the 27th April.\u00a0 After all, they have been rewarded with Offer Letters from\u00a0Corporates, thanks to the very successful Placement Drive this year,\u00a0resulting in leading companies rolling out job offers exceeding the\u00a0number of candidates.\u00a0 Offer letters were handed over to the students in\u00a0a glittering function organized by the MIM in the Institute Premises and\u00a0the Placement Brochure was also released during the occasion.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n\u201cThe surge in the record placement numbers is mostly attributed to the\u00a0various value-added programmes and workshops we have conducted for the\u00a0students over and above their regular curriculum\u201d said Dr. D. Nisar\u00a0Ahmed, Director of the Institute.\u00a0 \u201cMIM has collaborated with leading\u00a0industry professionals to bring various transformational programmes that\u00a0equip the students with the critical thinking and hard skills in the\u00a0areas of Business Analytics and other competencies that are much\u00a0required by the Industry today\u201d mentioned Mr. Elias Sait, Finance\u00a0Director of MEASI.<\/div>\n

25 companies from different sectors participated in the recruitment\u00a0drive, with Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector\u00a0being the significant contributor with 31% followed by IT, Consulting\u00a0and KPO with 38%, while Sales and HR contributed 23% and 8% respectively\u00a0of the total placements.\u00a0 The Participating companies included Amazon,\u00a0CITI, ZOHO, Equitas, KOTAK Bank, HDFC AMC, Fulcrum CRES, CADO, Cavin
\nCare, eNoah, SLAM Lifestyle, Jaro Education, Chai Kings, Goodwill\u00a0Comptrades, PEE YES YEM Hyundai.<\/div>\n

\nMore than half of the students secured multiple offers from different\u00a0companies.\u00a0 The average salary package offered was Rs. 3.5 lakhs per
\nannum and the highest was Rs. 8.5 lakhs per annum, both figures higher\u00a0compared to the previous years.<\/p>\n

Mr. T. Rafeeq Ahmed , Executive Director , MEASI, highlighted the\u00a0importance of Attitude in work environment for the career aspirants to\u00a0succeed in Corporate Life.\u00a0 Mr. Syed Alim Murdaja, Associate Director –\u00a0HRM & Training – Exeltis India Ltd., one of the dignitaries present\u00a0during the occasion congratulated MIM on this successful initiative this\u00a0year and advised the students that employers look for suitability than\u00a0eligibility and that Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive Flexibility\u00a0are the two new skill sets required for the Managers in Industry.\u00a0 Mr.\u00a0Ramesh Subramanian, Adjunct Faculty, KREA University, another dignitary\u00a0who spoke during the occasion, stressed the need for improving decision\u00a0making skills and team work with 2 beautiful video examples, and also\u00a0the importance of continuous knowledge acquisition to stay relevant in\u00a0today\u2019s extremely competitive world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
