Victor Roch, Dean Administration, LIBA, Dr. M.J Xavier, Chairperson of LIBA Management Development Centre and Dr. Samuel N J David, Head of Department, Hospital Management Studies &amp; Staff Training &amp; Development, CMC Vellore<\/strong>\u00a0amongst faculty members and students of LIBA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commenting on this occasion,\u00a0<strong>Dr. Edwin Joe<\/strong>\u00a0said \u201cPreviously, the healthcare system was predominantly doctor oriented.\u00a0 But now the scenario has changed with management playing a significant role in healthcare. Improved patient care can be achieved through successful management of hospital operations and services.\u00a0 This course aims to provide management skills that can be applied on a day to day basis in their organizations which will in turn enable them to be successful healthcare administrators.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Dr. M.J Xavier\u00a0<\/strong>mentioned \u201cThis joint certification programme is designed to equip professionals in the healthcare industry to take successful management decisions. The 1 year course caters to healthcare professionals with work experience of 3 to 4 years. Topics such as public health, patient safety, medical ethics etc. will be taught by CMC Vellore faculty while business management topics will be covered by LIBA faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Dr. David Samuel<\/strong>\u00a0further addressed the students saying\u201cIn this day and age, core competency and team work aids one in succeeding in their profession.
