Velammal’s R Praggnanandha, a 14-year-old Grandmaster who recently became the World Youth Chess champion, was felicitated at Main School in Mogappair on 30th<\/sup>\u00a0October, 2019 Wednesday. Praggnanandhaa dedicated his recent triumph to the late Sujith Wilson, the 2-year-old boy who tragically lost his life after getting stuck in an abandoned bore well. Two-minute silence was observed and candles were lit as students and faculty members offered their condolences to Sujith’s family.<\/p>\n

A giant Human Chess Board comprising\u00a0 the\u00a0 face masks of Praggnaanandhaa and\u00a0 Sujith Wilson was also on display. A cake cutting ceremony was organized for the chess wizard.\u00a0 The Interact \u00a0session on \u2018Praggnanandhaa\u2019s \u00a0journey to success inspired the students.\u00a0 The interact session shed light on the little master\u2019s epic journey to success. A \u201cDare to Win Challenge\u201d was\u00a0 organized wherein the best players contested with the\u00a0 World Champion.<\/p>\n
