~ A<\/span> unique initiative<\/span> <\/span>to educate and<\/span> encourage hygiene habits among students and faculty <\/span>~<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>November<\/span> 2019, Chennai: <\/span>C<\/span>asa Grande <\/span>PropCare today <\/span>celebrated the World Toilet Day through a unique initiative specially crafted to promote hygiene awareness amon<\/span>g students and faculty of Thiruvanmiyur<\/span> Government<\/span> school. <\/span>This <\/span>one<\/span> of its kind attempt by <\/span>a facility management firm aims to actively involve <\/span>students<\/span> to help maintain the <\/span>sanitation<\/span> and overall hygiene of <\/span>a <\/span>premises<\/span>, thereby teaching them young and teaching them right<\/span>. <\/span>Volunteers from Casa Grande PropCare visited the school <\/span>and <\/span>conducted an awareness workshop<\/span> on proper hygiene and healthy habits. The team of volunteers also undertook a massive cleanup of the school and restrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hosting <\/span>a <\/span>day long <\/span>program<\/span> at <\/span>T<\/span>hiruvanmiyur<\/span> Government School<\/span>, <\/span>C<\/span>asa Grande <\/span>PropCare volunteers conducted <\/span>various programs that saw the active participation of both <\/span>students and faculty<\/span>. The PropCare team held a session on personal and civil public hygiene and encouraged <\/span>students<\/span> to adopt habits that promote better cleanliness. <\/span>The team undertook the cleaning of all 14 washrooms at the school and educated students on proper toilet etiquette, the correct way to wash hands, awareness for girls on the proper use and disposal of sanitary pads and much more<\/span>.<\/span> For students<\/span> <\/span>between 6<\/span>th<\/span> STD and 8<\/span>th <\/span>STD, a unique painting competition was conducted on the theme of \u201cPerso<\/span>nal Hygiene = Washroom Hygiene\u201d. All participants were gifted with hand wash kits.<\/span><\/p>\n

The one-day<\/span> event saw the active participation 150+ student representatives from classes 6 to 8. These representatives were trained to become hygiene ambassadors for the rest of the school of 5000+ students. Students were educated on the importance of maintaining hygiene at school and home. C<\/span>ommemorating<\/span> the program, saplings were planted at various spots around the school by Mrs. Sivagami, the Head Mistress of the school, students and Casa Grande PropCare volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

We decided<\/span> to<\/span> hold a hygiene awareness drive at the <\/span>schoo<\/span>lto <\/span>reach out directly to these young minds and teach them the<\/span> correct hygiene habits to<\/span> follow. <\/span>With proper guidance, these children will continue to maintain a clean and healthy environment<\/span> all their lives<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n
