Since hair loss is the most distressing and feared side effect of chemotherapy performed for cancer patients, the initiative was aimed at collecting hair from volunteers. Subramanian Chairman and Managing Director, VS Group of Hospitals, Dr. S. Sundar, Senior Consultant Joint Replacement &amp; Tumour Surgeon and Medical Director, and Mr. Muthu Subramanian, Executive Director inaugurated the event. Dr. S. The young and energetic team of Awakers NGO performed skit, mime and folk song to teach preventive measures and cancer awareness.
