Consulate General of Russia in Tamil Nadu conducted a panel discussion titled \u2018India-Russia special and privileged Strategic Partnership\u2019 marking the visit to India by Russian President, Mr Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n

The discussion which took place today (8th December 2021) at Russian House, Chennai, saw the participation of eminent speakers and dignitaries including,<\/p>\n

Mr. Oleg Avdeev, Consul General of the Russian Federation in South India, Amb. M. Ganapathi, Former Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Mr. N Ram, Director, The Hindu Publishing Group, Commodore Vijesh Kumar Garg (Retd.) Executive Director, Chennai Centre for China Studies and Mr. Muthu Kumar, Editor & Publisher, Trinity Mirror.<\/p>\n

The panel discussion highlighted the long-standing friendship between Russia and India, as well as the importance of strengthening strategic partnerships in order to safeguard the sovereignty of both Nations in a constantly changing political environment. The all-weather partnership and diplomacy between these two great nations is a great success story in world politics. During the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi defense deals, trade agreements were sighed. The leaders discussed serious challenges and threats.<\/p>\n
