Chennai, October 13, 2023: Gleneagles Global Health City, a leading multi-Speciality quaternary healthcare centre in Chennai, will celebrate the Global Handwashing Day with children. A 4-day camp from October 13, 2023, to October 17, 2023, will train 2,000 students from both private and government schools in the city on proper hand washing. The Global Handwashing Day is observed worldwide on October 15. This year\u2019s theme is “Clean hands are in reach,” and highlights how washing hands regularly with soap and water is an effective way to prevent diseases and lead a healthy life.<\/p>\n

On the first day, the nursing team of Gleneagles Global Health City visited the Vidya Matric Hr Sec School and Sai Ram Leo Muthu Public School in Medavakkam and taught the school children\u2019s on how to wash their hands before having food as dirty hands are the root cause of various diseases. The nursing team will visit 10 schools in Chennai Suburb\u2019s in next four days to educate the students on the importance of handwashing and will train students on handwashing techniques.<\/p>\n
