This important worldwide activity, started by the World Hypertension League (WHL), was first held on May 14, 2005, and since then World Hypertension Day has been an ever-expanding yearly event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-26895\" src=\"https:\/\/faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-300x245.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-300x245.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-1024x835.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-768x626.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.faceinews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/IMG-20250518-WA0059-1536x1253.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Its purpose is to communicate to the public the importance of hypertension and its serious medical complications, and to provide information on its prevention, detection, and management.<\/p>\n<p>To do this requires cooperation of health care professionals, media, volunteer organizations and government in each country.<\/p>\n<p>To build mass awareness among public &amp; medical fraternity in India WHL (World Hypertension League) under the ageis of Dr S N Narasingan is organizing full day event on 18th May\u201925 at Chettinad Vidyasram, Chennai where programme will begin with 3 blood pressure readings of all attendees followed by public awareness talk to educate about its menace on health as well as how to control &amp; manage it. The programme will be attended by renowned doctors \/ cardiologist \/ Nephrologist &amp; Neurologist .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer is this year\u2019s theme to increase high blood pressure (BP) awareness and accuracy in BP Measurement, toward effective treatment of hypertension for a healthy, longer life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We wish to highlight the contributions of the Children\u2019s Art Program on World Hypertension Day. Thank you to all the children and their sponsors from around the world for their artwork highlighting hypertension awareness in youth. We are also happy to announce our WHL 2025 Excellence Award Winners, for their stellar contributions to global hypertension prevention and control.
