Chennai is reporting some of the fastest rising incidence rates in the country, with cases increasing by up to 5.6% annually in certain age groups. Men aged 65-74 in Chennai face some of the highest risks in India, with age-specific incidence rates ranging from 59.9 to 75.8 per 100,000 and sharply rising to 161.6 per 100,000 in men aged 75 and above.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProstate cancer is highly treatable when caught early,\u201d said Dr. Arun Kumar Balakrishnan, Managing Director, Chief Consultant Urologist, Robotic Surgeon &amp; Uro-Oncologist, AINU Chennai. \u201cA simple PSA blood test and clinical evaluation can change the course of a life. With this campaign, we want men to know that early checks mean better chances of cure.
