The meeting was presided over by vice-president of MHAA Gini Manuel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">\u201cWe support the resolutions adopted by the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Bar Associations Joint Action Committee held at Theni on Saturday calling for the boycott,\u201d Mr. Gini Manuel and association secretary S. Arivazhagan said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\">The MHAA also resolved to organise a &#8216;rail roko&#8217; on Wednesday at the Central railway station and stage \u201cburning draconian rules\u201d protest on Friday near the Aavin gate of the High Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\"><b>\u2018Revoke suspension\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n<div id=\"inarticle_wrapper_div\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"body\">The MHAA also made a demand to the Bar Council of India and the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to revoke the suspension over 40 advocates who are facing disciplinary proceedings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Madras High Court Advocates Association (MHAA) on Monday announced that its members would indefinitely boycott court proceedings from Tuesday demanding unconditional total withdrawal of amendments to the statutory rules empowering courts to debar erring lawyers.
