Pernod Ricard India Charitable Foundation organized FREE Eye testing and General Health check-up Camp for Truck Drivers to improve Road Safety<\/em><\/p>\n

Hyderabad, June 30, 2016: To augment the importance of road safety, Pernod Ricard India Charitable Foundation (PRICF – a wholly owned subsidiary of Pernod Ricard India Pvt. Ltd.) the leading alcobev company in association with the Telangana State Beverages Corporation Ltd., organized an eye testing and general health checkup camp for truck drivers. A part of Pernod Ricard India Charitable Foundation\u2019s CSR initiatives,the free health checkup camp took place on June 28, 2016 at the Telangana State Beverages Corporation Limited, IML Depot, Amberpet at Hayathnagar.<\/p>\n

For a long time now, Pernod Ricard India has been strongly driving CSR initiatives that promote road safety, responsible drinking and a clean and healthy lifestyle, especially in the rural areas. This camp in Telangana is a continuation of a CSR program undertaken by PRICF to provide health care facilities to the truck drivers across the country.<\/p>\n

The recipients availed the benefits of free eye and health check-up amenities which included blood pressure and sugar test and access to free medicines with the consultation of certified team off best doctors from two of Telangana\u2019s best hospitals. Specialized team of doctors from Yashoda Hospitals and proficient eye specialists from Goutami Netralaya<\/strong> checked the drivers and even provided prescription eyeglasses to those who needed it. In addition to this, to cope with the scorching heat, UV400 sunglasses were also distributed to\u00a0 all the attendees of the camp.<\/p>\n

Till date, the company has organized 15 health camps in New Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Maharashtra benefiting more than 11,000 truck drivers.<\/p>\n

Reiterating the company\u2019s firm commitment to Road Safety, Sunil Duggal, Head CSR, Pernod Ricard India,\u00a0<\/strong>said, \u201cWe at Pernod Ricard India Charitable Foundation firmly believe in the cause of responsible drinking and road safety..Our aim is to spread awareness and drive the right messages that will promote healthy lifestyle throughout the country. We have successfully touched 11,000 lives so far and will continue to undertake such activities for the benefit of the community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Commenting on the occasion, Dr. RV Chandravadan, The Commissioner-Prohibition & State Excise, Telangana, <\/strong>said, \u201cThe welfare of the community is of prime importance to us.
