\"DSC_0668\"<\/a>Sri Rama Krishna Math Vivekananda\u00a0Centenary Girl’s Higher Secondary\u00a0School 54th <\/sup>Annual Day and Sports Day Celebration\u00a0was held on Wednesday, the 20th<\/sup>, July 2016 at thier\u00a0SRI RAMAKRISHNA MATH VIVEKANANDA CENTENARY GIRLS\u2019 HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL\u00a0(A UNIT OF SRI RAMAKRISHNA MATH, CHENNAI-04)\u00a0No.2, Saravana Street, Mint, Chennai-79.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0343\"<\/a>The celebrations started with Prayer and welcome address by Smt. Sundari, Head Mistress of \u00a0School.<\/p>\n

Sports Day was celebrated in the forenoon.\u00a0 Swami Srividyananda, Secretary of the School took the guard of honour followed by oath taking by the students.\u00a0 Olympic torch was lit by Chief Guest, Smt. S. Sree Thulsi, ADSP.\u00a0 As a part of the celebrations, students also performed Cultural programmes.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0703\"<\/a>Sport Day Report 2015-16, was read by Smt. S. Suganya, Physical Education Teacher, briefing the achievements of this school\u00a0students in the last academic year and highlighted the students\u2019 participation in Sports and Games held at various Zone levels.<\/p>\n

Chief Guest, Smt. S. Sree Thulsi, ADSP, Finger Print Department, Tamil Nadu State Crime Record Bureau, addressed the students.\u00a0 She advised the students to learn Martial Arts like\u00a0Silambam and also Yoga, Cooking etc. She appreciated the students for wearing a clean uniform and the enthusiasm shown by them.\u00a0 Swami Srividyananda, Secretary of the School presented the memento to the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0186\"<\/a>Prizes, Shields and Certificates were distributed to the students for their achievements in Sports and Games and allied activities by Smt. S. Sree Thulsi, ADSP in the presence of Secretary, Head Mistress and Teachers.<\/p>\n

The Sports Day concluded with vote of thanks by Smt. Nirmala, Tamil Pandit of the School.<\/p>\n

54th<\/sup> \u00a0\u00a0ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS, 2016<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Annual Day programmes started in the afternoon by 3.00 p.m., with a Prayer song followed by Welcome address read by. Smt. Sivakama Sundari, Assistant Head Mistress.<\/p>\n

The winners of various competitions, academic achievers in this academic year were given with prizes, medals and shields and certificates.\u00a0 Teachers were honoured with awards for their hard work in achieving 100% results in the 10th<\/sup> standard public exams, 2016.\u00a0 Revered Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai, Swami Vimurtanandaji Maharaj, Manager, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai, Swami Satyajnanananda Maharaj, Secretary, Students Home, Mylapore, Chennai,\u00a0 Dr. R. Pratapkumar, Member, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission honoured the occasion by participating in the Annual Day events.<\/p>\n

\"DSC_0717\"<\/a>Dr. C. Pratapkumar, while addressing the students, explained to them about the scope of getting in to Govt. service through Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and requested the Teachers to guide the students about various competitive examinations conducted by TNPSC and UPSC.<\/p>\n

Swami Vimurtanandaji Maharaj, Manager, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai addressed the students with inspiring talk motivating them to rise up in life. He appreciated the attitude of students showing equal respect to all Teachers and non-teaching staff alike including watchman.<\/p>\n

Revered Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, Chennai, gave the benedictory address. He pointed out the sacrifice made by Sister Nivedita for the cause of the Nation and women\u2019s education. He wanted the students and teachers to bring name and fame to the school.<\/p>\n

As a part of the cultural event students performed welcome dance, enacted dramas in English from the lives of Holy Trinity also with incidents from the life of Sister Nivedita and a Tamil dance drama on Bhaktha Prahalada.<\/p>\n

Math Volunteers, Donors of various edowments and Board Members were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n
