Rafeeq Ahmed<\/b>, President & Mr. G.S.K. Masud, <\/b>Hon. Secretary, Anjuman-E-Himayath-E-Islam, during the inauguration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

H.E. Dr. K. Rosaiah<\/strong>, Governor of Tamil Nadu, today inaugurated the 3 day celebrations to commemorate the 125th<\/sup> Anniversary of Anjuman-E-Himayath-E-Islam. Mr. Habibullah Badsha<\/strong>, Former Advocate General, Mr. H. H. Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali<\/strong>, Prince of Arcot, Mr. N. Ram<\/strong>, Chairman, Kasturi & Sons Ltd. and Dr. K. Saleem Ali<\/strong>, IPS (Retd.) were the Guests of Honour.<\/p>\n

The Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam (AHI), an Exceptional Social, Charitable and Educational organization has completed 125 years of yeomen service to the community particularly the poor and downtrodden. More than 3000 people are expected to participate everyday in this 3 day extravaganza. The organizing committee has taken care to ensure that everybody who comes goes back with more knowledge and more important happily and safely.<\/p>\n

Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam (AHI)<\/p>\n

The journey so far has been very good and the organization has played a significant role in helping the needy. Today, the Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam campus is a bee-hive of activity. The\u00a0sprawling renovated Boys and Girls Homes house 400 boys and girls each with\u00a0immaculately maintained living quarters, Health Centre, state-of-the-art kitchen and stores, well\u00a0stocked library and leisure activity rooms etc., that spurs the growth and imbibes creativity and values which are in sync with the Islamic VALUES. The educational needs of the children are met with 3 schools, a Primary, a Higher\u00a0Secondary Matriculation, and a CBSE Higher Secondary School, all within the\u00a0Anjuman campus. The total strength of these 3 schools is over 1800 with day scholar\u00a0students from outside also studying, apart from our own children of the Anjuman.\u00a0The high academic standards that are being maintained at the schools has resulted in\u00a0100% results at the Higher Secondary level in both schools for the past few\u00a0years.<\/p>\n

Session led by Mrs. Qudsia Gandhi<\/strong>, IAS (retd.). Panelists include, Mrs. Preetha Reddy<\/strong>, MD, Apollo Hospitals Group and Mrs. Sumaiya Naumani<\/strong>, Principal, Madras-e-Kathijathul Kubra.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Role of a muslim in a diverse society \u2013 7.00pm to 9.00 pm<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Mohammed Hashim<\/strong>, Chairman, KH group of companies will preside.\u00a0Dr. Farida Khanam<\/strong>, Islamic scholar & Associate Editor, ” Spirit of Islam”\u00a0&Moulana Mahmood Madani<\/strong>, General Secretary, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, New Delhi, will be the speakers.<\/p>\n

\u00d8\u00a0 Grand All India Mushaira (30th<\/sup> July)<\/strong> – 10.30pm<\/span> onwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A grand ALL INDIA MUSHAIRA will feature eminent poets from all over the country.\u00a0 Well known poet Dr. Prof. Waseem Barelvi\u00a0<\/strong>will preside.<\/p>\n

\u00d8\u00a0 Valedictory Function <\/strong>\u2013 12.15pm<\/span> onwards<\/p>\n

Hon’ble Justice F. M. Ibrahim Kalifulla<\/strong>, Judge, Supreme Court of India will be the chief guest. Mr. U. Mohammad\u00a0 Khalilullah,<\/strong>\u00a0President,\u00a0Muslim Educational Association of Southern India will preside.<\/p>\n

\u00d8\u00a0 Carnival, 2pm<\/span> onwards<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Shakeel Akthar,<\/strong> IPS, chairman, Police Housing Board Corporation will be the chief guest.<\/p>\n

Islamic and\u00a0Educational\u00a0Exhibition<\/strong><\/p>\n
