The finals will be held in Kuala Lumpur and given the popularity of Southern Cinema there, CBL is sure to witness large number of fans cheering their favorite stars.<\/p>\n

\"DCIM<\/a>CHENNAI ROCKERS<\/strong> is the Tamil\u00a0 Nadu Franchisee of Celebrity Badminton League 2016, with the best Kolly wood Film industry centralized in an exhilarating Badminton league.<\/p>\n

\"DCIM<\/a>The team is owned by Mr. C.R. Venkatesh, <\/strong>best known as CRV,<\/strong> who is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DOT COM INFOWAY, one of India\u2019s premier IT services company and three other companies namely ADATHA, GMASA and GALATTA MEDIA.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis confederacy focuses to provide an Innovative, Entertaining and Supreme-Quality League. It also provides a platform for celebrities to exhibit their badminton competency and to deliver ethical integrity for the fans, partners and professional players. Our social intention is to identify and promote aspirants to become professional players. As part of the initiative, we also plan to select a few badminton players from local colleges and give them National Exposure in terms of training and mentoring\u201d says Venkatesh<\/p>\n

\"DCIM<\/a>He also adds, \u201cOur team – Chennai Rockers will have Kollywood\u2019s favourite chocolate boy, Actor MADHAVAN as its Brand Ambassador and the gorgeous AMALA PAUL as the team motivator.In the first season of Celebrity Badminton League,Chennai Rockers is being captained by Actor Arya and the team comprises of Abhinay Vaddi, Amitash, Bharath, Munna, Prasanna, Shanthnu, Vaibhav, Gayathri, Ineya and RupaManjari.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about this innovative idea of getting celebrities in these kind of sports, Mr. Hemachandran, CEO\u00a0<\/strong>&\u00a0FOUNDER <\/strong>of CBL said \u201cHaving been an integral part of the Chennai Angel Investors and Indian Angel Network, I could quickly evaluate and recoganize that the sports and entertainment industries have been the biggest money spinners over the last few decades. I believe that a multiplier effect kicks in when we present a combined avatar of both these elements in a power packed sporting league model. At least 80% of the celebrities play badminton as a recreational sport to keep fit and even as we announced our intentions to launch the league, we received immediate representation from the four team owners and celebrity players to participate in this format. The format allows the team owner to collect 15% from the central revenue generated by CBL, apart from acquiring individual team Sponsorships to Subsidise the cost of purchasing the team. The team owner will in turn bear the franchise fee, local promotion cost, event management, logistics and the money that will be charged by the celebrities for participation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The matches will be hosted at Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad and Karnataka and the final match will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The schedule of the matches are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
