The People\u2019s Choice Award honors achievers who have demonstrated the undying power of human spirit, by overcoming challenges to achieve success and leave a positive mark on society. The heroes who have been nominated by Dr Batra\u2019s\u2122 as part of the maiden People\u2019s Choice Award include Deepa Mallik, who created history by becoming the first Indian woman ever to clinch a medal at the Paralympic Games, Laxmi, an acid attack survivor and activist, who showed us that beauty lies within and never to give up, Girish Sharma, the one legged badminton champion who lost a leg but won the game of life, Girish Gogia, talented Motivational speaker, who showed that even when 90% of one\u2019s body is not functioning one must not give up and be happy to be alive and Arunima Sinha, India\u2019s the first female amputee to climb Mount Everest.<\/p>\n
