Go Kart, a type of racing event formulated to enhance the talents of budding engineers with the objective of promoting Motorsports as Profession and to enhance technical skills of the students. Recently the students belonging to Mechanical Engineering branch of Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai <\/strong>designed and fabricated the vehicle at low cost in college premises with their own effort, participated in International Series of Karting 2017\u00a0<\/strong>among more than 60 teams throughout the country.<\/p>\n

\"IMG-20170522-WA0025\"<\/a>Solaris India (Solar Vehicle Challenge)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The students belonging to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering\u00a0<\/strong>branch of\u00a0Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai\u00a0<\/strong>fabricated a vehicle run by Solar Energy in the college premises suitable for all weather conditions (DAY\/NIGHT) in order to face the issues of fuel crisis and global warming. The students took part in different events and brought laurels to the institution by bagging many awards.<\/p>\n

Asia’s biggest Electric Solar Vehicle Championship held at Andhra Pradesh, Crowned with three awards viz.. Second Runner up in overall championship, Go-Green award, ISIE Appreciation award\u00a0<\/strong>among 120 teams at Asia level;.<\/p>\n

National Solar Vehicle challenge held at Gujarat, Runner up – Virtual Round.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"IMG-20170522-WA0027\"<\/a>ROCKETEERS 2.0 (BAJA SAE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

BAJA SAE is a National level intercollegiate Design competition conducted by SAEINDIA in every year at NATRIP track located in Pitampur, Indore with the goal of Designing and Fabricating All terrain Vehicle.<\/p>\n

The students of Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai are participating in this prestigious national event with their own designed and fabricated vehicle since year 2010. During this year too, the students took part actively with fabricated Vehicle. The team was well appreciated by panel members for innovation and eco-friendliness. The team has also registered for the international BAJA to be held at Illinois, USA.<\/p>\n

\"IMG-20170522-WA0029\"<\/a>SMOKIN’ AXLES (FORMULA GREEN)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The students belonging to Production Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and\u00a0Instrumentation and Control Engineering of\u00a0Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai\u00a0<\/strong>participated in the event FORMULA GREEN 2017\u00a0<\/strong>conducted by ISNEE\u00a0(Indian Society of New Era Engineers) at Coimbatore. The objectives of this competition was to design and fabricate an eco-friendly Formula car which runs on Electrical Motor. The team was well appreciated by panel members for innovation and aesthetics of the Vehicle eco-friendliness.<\/p>\n

\"IMG-20170522-WA0035\"<\/a>M.Ragul (APPLE WWDC Scholarship)<\/strong><\/p>\n

M.Ragul of Computer Science & Engineering student of\u00a0Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai has built a couple of apps & found security bugs in various internet companies.<\/p>\n

Recently, he won Apple WWDC \u00a0Scholarship by participating in Apple World Wide Developer Conference in San Jose, California on 5-9 June 2017. Only 350 students from all over the world \u00a0were shortlisted for this scholarship. \u00a0Applications were judged on Technical accomplishment, Creativity and content of written responses. He had created a self- introduction playground based om Pokemon-Go game.<\/p>\n

Sri Sai Prakash Leo Muthu, Chief Executive Officer, Sairam Group of Institutions is always encouraging the students for active participation in various competitions and events at National and Inter National Level by extending immense support such as providing various lab facilities and offering a financial support worth 20 lakhs towards the fabrication of all vehicles. He further emphasizes the need and importance of identifying innovative ideas during student career and implementing the same for the modern applications. He congratulated the students who won various awards and appreciation and bringing laurels to the institutions.<\/p>\n
