According to media reports, the hotspots this year are western and southern states of India. In the western zone, Maharashtra has been the worst hit, while other states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana & Delhi also have been affected by the spread of the deadly virus and there are reports of further increase in the cases due to approaching monsoons.
