Chennai,\u00a023rd<\/sup>\u00a0November 2017:\u00a0<\/b>After\u00a0a\u00a0successful\u00a0inaugural\u00a0edition, IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Full Marathon\u00a0is back with its second edition on\u00a0Sunday,\u00a0February 4, 2018<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, the face of the event will be flag off the races at Red Road.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Passionate runners across the country can register online by logging on to\u00a0http:\/\/www.kolkatafullmarathon.com\/<\/a>.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Avid runners can register online for all the four categories which include; 42.2K Full Marathon (Minimum Age –\u00a018 as on\u00a03rd Feb 2018<\/span><\/span><\/span>),\u00a021.1K Half Marathon\u00a0(Minimum Age – 18 as on\u00a03rd Feb 2018<\/span><\/span><\/span>),\u00a0Timed 10K\u00a0(Minimum Age – 14 as on\u00a03rd Feb 2018<\/span><\/span><\/span>) and\u00a05K Hope Run\u00a0(All Minors must be accompanied by Adults).\u00a0The\u00a0fees for all categories varies; with Full Marathon at Rs 1550\/-, Half Marathon at Rs 1350\/-, Timed 10K at Rs\u00a0850\/<\/b>– and 5K Hope Run at\u00a0Rs 650\/<\/b>-.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Speaking on the announcement of the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0edition, Karthik Raman, CMO, IDBI Federal Life Insurance\u00a0said,<\/b>\u00a0\u201cKolkata is an important market for us and we are truly proud of our association with the city. We are thrilled to host the\u00a0second\u00a0edition\u00a0of\u00a0IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Full Marathon and engage Kolkatans with the message of health and fitness. With the tremendous response we received in our previous edition, we are confident\u00a0of greater participation from Kolkata.\u201d<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Our aim has always been to promote health and fitness across the country, and keeping that in mind I request all avid and amateur runners of Kolkata to register and participate in large numbers.\u201d\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

Face of the event, Sachin Tendulkar said,\u00a0<\/b>\u201cIt is my vision is to see every Indian fit and healthy. I am looking forward to being back in Kolkata, the energy and turnout witnessed last year was exhilarating. I am hoping to see more participation from Kolkata in the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Marathon this year, which eclipses last year\u2019s turnout. Come on Kolkata! The race day run and Training Runs are being organized at different locations by IDBI Federal Life Insurance along with NEB Sports to spread the awareness of running and motivate people to participate in the upcoming marathon.\u00a0<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

The winner of the 3rd\u00a0edition of the IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Full Marathon will be awarded prize money\u00a0of\u00a0Rs. 10<\/b>\u00a0Lakhs across various categories.
