Singapore, January 10, 2018:<\/strong>\u00a0Leading pump manufacturer Grundfos has announced the appointment of Kim Jensen to the role of\u00a0Group Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of Grundfos Asia Pacific region with effect from January 1st<\/sup>\u00a02018.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Kim will\u00a0lead the company\u2019s business across\u00a022 countries\u00a0including\u00a013 wholly-owned sales companies and local assembly plants Grundfos operates in the region. He will also be spearheading opportunities for the company\u2019s development and expansion in Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n

Prior to his Asia Pacific role, Kim was Group Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets since 2015, where he oversaw 2,800 employees in areas of sales, marketing and\u00a0customer\u00a0service.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Kim has been with Grundfos for more than 25 years, working across Europe and\u00a0the\u00a0Middle East.\u00a0Having held numerous\u00a0senior management positions within Grundfos, Kim assumed the role of\u00a0Group Senior Vice President\u00a0in 2006, where he was in\u00a0charge of developing Grundfos\u2019 global Water Utility business,\u00a0after which he served\u00a0the Central and Eastern Europe (CEREG) markets in 2010.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Poul Due Jensen, Group Executive Vice President Sales, Marketing & Service, Grundfos said,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to working with Kim to continue growing our business in the Asia Pacific. Kim succeeds Okay Barut\u00e7u, who held the role since 2014 and will be moving to Dubai\u00a0to take the role of Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of Grundfos\u00a0East Europe, Western Asia and Africa (EEWAA) markets. EEWAA is a newly defined sales region together with Western Europe (WEREG), which made up the original EMEA\u00a0markets\u00a0before the split effective 1 January 2018 to support Grundfos\u2019 global growth ambition.<\/p>\n
