The North East Crafts Bazaar Exhibition at Chennai will present exqusite Craft from, Eight Sister states of North Eastern Region comprising 0f Assam, Arunachala Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.

The Exibition has been organized by North Eastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Ltd., ( A Govt. of India Enterprise ) with financial assistance by the Ministry of Development of N orth Eastern Region, Govt. of Insdia, New Delhi, New Delhi at Co – Optex Exhibition Ground, Egmore, Chennai. During the perion of 03-02-1015 to 12-02-2015.

The Objectives of the Exhibition as per guidelines of the Govt. of India are as detailed :-

1. Promote sales of Hanicrafts and Handlooms.

2. Increase awareness in favour of Handlooms and Handicrafts.

3. Expose Crafts persons and Weavers to the outside market.

4. Launch new products/designs for trial and promotion.

5. To Eradicate the Intermediary/Middleman in Handloom & Handicrafts Sector,

The Activities of the Corporation are :-

( a ) Development and ( b )  Marketing.

Organised retail sales of Handlooms and Handicrafts products through the Chain of Emporium known us ” Purbashree Emporium “.
